Eclectic interiors rooted in banking heritage

Inspired by Jacopo Sansovino’s 16-century High Renaissance library in Venice, our hotel brims with many original and opulent features, housed in former banking spaces. The façade alone features stone columns and carvings of ships, lions and cherubs.

Grand city centre weddings

You’d never guess what’s hiding in the centre of our hotel. Our epic Sansovino Hall is a former banking hall dating back to 1850. We’ll transform it into a dazzling venue for your special day.

Embodying the energy of the bustling city outside, our rooms and suites feature bold, urban interiors—think velveteen fabrics, elegant furnishings and warming colour palettes. Most feature views of Bristol’s Old City, for moments of well-needed recuperation after a day of exploration.

FAQs

You'll find us on Corn Street, in the heart of Bristol's historic centre. Corn Street is pedestrianised, so park up and leave the car elsewhere, or take this opportunity to go green and visit us by train. We're around a 20-minute walk or 10-minute taxi ride from Bristol Temple Meads, which has direct connections to London in one and a half hours.

No, as a city centre hotel on a pedestrianised road, we cannot offer on-site car parking to guests and unfortunately, you cannot unload/load bags into your cars in front of the hotel, so please park before you come to the hotel.

We offer our guests a 20% discount (per every 24-hr period) in the Nelson Street NCP (BS1 3DB). Ask for your discount on check-in, and make sure you keep hold of your original ticket too, as you need both for payment. The discount doesn't apply to pre-booked spaces.

Check-in is anytime from 3pm. If you'll be arriving later than 10pm, please call our reception team to reconfirm your booking.

Check-out is at 11am. You can request a late check-out or early check-in when booking online, or with our reception crew.

Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, the hotel itself is not accessible. However, we do have rooms with walk-in showers which are accessible by lift.

If you require a more accessible room, please contact our reservations or reception crew, who can recommend the best room for your stay.

For the comfort of all guests, we don’t allow pets to stay in the hotel, except for service dogs.
